FYI, going forward, keep your eyes on Rep. Jim McDermott, who is saying he wants to stop with the piece meal thing and just extend benefits to end of 2010!
So, good news in less of what we all just went through, and bad news, since that seems to show they do not think there will be any jobs anytime soon.
Ack.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ALLEY ...check this out and give me your feed back please:)
ReplyDeleteit is on the "orange county register website" under president signing.
here is what it said
The bill provides up to 14 weeks of additional benefits to all states and up to 20 weeks in high unemployment states like California. However, because an earlier bill included a sunset provision at the end of this year, California officials say Californians likely will only be able to get an additional 14 weeks of benefits
Would someone please explain the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA)" and if it is related to bill hr3404?
ReplyDeleteGigi, I am looking into it because NY is also saying something about only 14 weeks pending additional legislation. Not to worry at least at this moment, you will get benefits right off but I think we have a lot more work to do if there is an error they way some states are reporting it.
ReplyDeleteAlley you go girl :)
ReplyDeletehere is what the edd.ca.gov states
Although the new extensions do provide the potential for up to 20 additional weeks of benefits for higher unemployment states, including California, it’s likely six weeks of those benefits won’t be available due to pending federal filing deadlines at the end of the year
Alley but your right, at least we got benefits coming :)...i am sure something will be done about the pending federal filing dealdlines:)
ReplyDeletekeep me posted :) thanks again ..i will sleep good tonight ..
