  2. OK!,How can they hold this up now? The Dems filed cloture and voted twice, whats left for them to do but vote again and send the bill back to the house to vote and then send it to the Pres to sign? DAYUM!!!! How can they have a majority and have so little power to get things done? Maybe they (dems) should have been doing this when they were in the minority and then MAYBE we wouldn't be in this position. (One of us is frustrated beyond belief) I think it may just be the voices. LMAO!!

  3. Call Sen Mc Connell at 202-224-2541 and tell him to STOP holding this bill up vote now.

  4. Thank you for posting McConnell's number. I just called and let them know, that if in fact the republicans were actually trying to do something that would help us all additionally the stalling might be worth it, but not many of us will be buying new homes in the next 6 months so that amendment has nothing to do with us. The fact that the longer they wait the more lose is on their heads and blood on their hands.

  7. Just called Alexander and blasted that office. 202-224-4944

The whole issue of first time home buyer credits being attached to the unemployment bill is just stupid. To hold up this bill to add amendment that actually rubs in our faces the lose of homes and the inability to buy a new house within the next 6 months is unconscionable.

  10. Your not lost, your in the land of unemployed, the greatest country in the world.

  11. So the chances of a UC today are almost none, and we're gonna have to wait another 30 hours?

No wonder why this country is losing ground to other countries.

I wish they would just pass the bill and let us sleep a full night!

  12. The worst thing about another cloture vote is the House finding time to vote on it this week. If it's not signed into law by Saturday, another week of no unemployment check.

  13. CCS,

Yup that's pretty much it. It's only a matter of time before rallying in the street and riots start happening. People have nothing left and it's getting worse!

  14. If Reid were to make them stay late tonight it can be voted on Thursday morning. If not we would have to wait until Thursday night to vote on it and then hope the House passes it on Friday which will be hard since it will not be on their calendar.

  15. I heard the House was in session Saturday. I could check, but maybe someone could just tell me?

  16. When you have nothing to lose and you have a strong following, revolution, but it will take more than an unemployment bill.

  17. Work on Saturday, that might be asking for too much

  20. If I heard right Senator Durbin just said that there will be a third cloture vote invoked. It sounded like it will be part of Wednesday's morning business, but the clock on the cloture will begin at 11pm Tuesday night.

  21. JC you are correct after the third cloture vote there could be another 30 hours before final vote but they are going to count that from Tuesday not from the end of the vote tomorrow. I think??

  22. lburnell, you are correct, the final "30 hours" start ticking tonight at 11:45 pm, through Thursday 5:45 am. Tomorrow we will see another cloture vote and more grandstanding, but THE vote should be Thursday - hopefully early.
