Got an email letting me know what I CAN take in (cameras, invitation, ID) and what I can't (bags, umbrellas, liquids, strollers, signs).
Then they let me know they are doing a food drive - they would like everyone attending to bring a few items to be distributed to NJ food pantries. Uh.....I ate my last packet of Ramen, sorry, I have nothing to give. However, if you don't mind, I would LOVE to pick up a bag of stuff on the way OUT!! Think I should ask them????

You need to get out your magic markers and make a nice bright sign on your Shirt, front and back!! And yes, put an order in to get a bag of groceries on the way out!!
ReplyDeleteAlso state thanks playin g polotics while sao many of us are unemployed and hungry... taking your sweet time on HR3548....
ReplyDeleteCorzine is a crook. Karla Katz seems to like him though and all of the gifts she's received from ole' Jon boy.
ReplyDeleteCorzine only looks out for himself and his rich buddies from G/S
IMHO Jen, Corzine is 100000% better than his opponent. And Corzine actually HAS done a lot - mandatory mammograms, mandatory 48 hour hospitals stays after childbirth, paid family leave - none of those were popular among his "rich buddies" but he did the right thing. There is a reason every newspaper but one has heavily endorsed Corzine over Christie. A lot of Christi'e lies have come out already, and he has already gone back on some of his campaign "promises" like those on property taxes.
ReplyDeleteI would love to know where you get your info from.
Also, Christie is against the stimulus package which might be used to fund the bill and if he gets into the seat people from NJ may have yet another problem.
ReplyDeleteBarb, that is a HUGE fear of mine! He said he would take SOME stimulus money (education, etc) but would REFUSE any stimulus money for unemployment.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I didn't go to the rally. Between running a slight fever still to adding up the cost of this "free ticket" (called the lots in the area, they were all going to be charging about $30, plus gas & tolls, plus you had to be there for door opening at 11:30 and could not take in much of anything - and Rally was for 3:00, meant buying overpriced food/drinks there - last time I went to a Devils game e burger was $11.50 and they don;t have ketchup, lol) - well, it would have cost me about $50 to go even if I didn't buy anything to eat....so I am home. Very bummed, but oh well. Such is the glamorous life of the unemployed.
