Yup...that includes MY REP, Scott Garrett, who voted yes last time. You know a nasty letter is itching to fly out of the tips of my fingertips. When is he up for re-election anyway? How do I find out???

  1. Just sent a nastygram, and left messages at all three of his offices (DC plus both in NJ) letting them know I would LOVE to hear the Congressman's thoughts on what people in his district should be doing when they can't find a job and their congressman is on of only 12 between the House & Senate who felt this should not pass. Also told him he could expect to see me campaigning HARD for whoever decides to run against him next election, and I would be reminding anyone who will listen about this vote today.

Think I'll get a response? LOL

Now I am down to one minute on my cell, time to walk to the Sprint store tomorrow and give them a few bucks. But it was worth it.

  2. Maybe he needs to be reminded he will soon end up just like Corzine. Outside looking in.

Worst part is that he'll get full benefits and the best health care package..

  3. How is it possible that these people can sleep at night knowing that people in the states they represent are losing everything while they try and find jobs? I looked at the Department of Labor website today at the statistics and breakdowns of the joblessness in this country. The federal jobs lost, the jobs saved and everything in between. California's job loss this past month is up nearly 14,000 jobs! NY numbers are up, NJ's numbers are up, and I am sure there are more states that are up over the 1,000 mark that have Reps that voted NO. I don't see Iowa, Indiana, Florida, Nevada Reps on this list and they are the states, along with PR that have had the largest decreases on claims, which may or may not indicate that people have found jobs or run out of benefits.

Those Reps who voted NO should be tarred and feathered in a public place or at least have their homes and their families thrown out into the streets to wonder where they will seek shelter and their next meals.

For more information on the stats here is the link to the DOL page:

  4. Well, Garrett is the same DB that, when I wrote to support a public option, wrote back with a series of ten emails telling me basically how evil it was. I printed them out, marked up his errors in reasoning in red, and mailed them back. To date, no response. How odd.

He is in his 4th term, and must be feeling pretty cocky. Of course, the area he represents has traditionally been a very wealthy area so maybe they like him, but there is a huge shift in the population lately and I hope it is enough to drive him out of office.

Reps are in for how many years? Two right?? I am so volunteering for anyone and everyone willing to run against him, and will track this man's every vote between now and then to use against him.

Woman on a mission. Wait, scratch that...UNEMPLOYED WOMAN WITH A LOT OF TIME ON MY HANDS On a Mission.

    Bwahahahaha

  7. OMG I can't stop laughing. I had written to Gerrett's opponent from the last election, asking if he was running again, pointing out a couple of his recent votes. Now, Dennis Shulman (the opponent) had gathered National attention during this run because he is a well know psychiatrist, rabbi, and published author. He is also blind. His winning would have been a first at a lot of levels.

So THIS is what the rabbi/psychiatrist wrote back to me:

Thank you for your note. Yes. Garrett is a dangerous Neanderthal who does not represent the majority of this moderate congressional district. I don't know who will be running against Garrett in 2010, but, like you, of course, I will do everything I can to have him lose his seat.

    Best wishes, Dennis Shulman

    I love it!

  8. Hello Johnny!

JerzeeGirl, That is crazy!! I bet I know a lot of people who will be active in the next major election, campaigning to rid their states of all the Neanderthals and maybe by then we will all be published authors as well!!
